A deep black onyx disc lies flush in a smooth bezel, bordered by a single fine halo of 80 round brilliants. One tier, not two. The diamond is there to draw the edge, not to compete with it.
Set in mirror-polished white gold. This is the quietest ring in The Order and the one most often worn every day. Sized to you and made to your order.
There is no outer wall on this piece. A single close-set halo runs the edge of the onyx, which leaves nowhere to hide an uneven line. The tolerance is in the border, not in the tiers.
We hold a tolerance far narrower than the trade does. Stones that would pass anywhere else are sent back. That is the whole business, and it is the reason a ZALXNDRA piece looks the way it does at arm's length.
The setting is built in order, tier by tier, by a single setter. Nothing is farmed out mid-piece. It is slower, and it is the only way the outer wall closes cleanly.
